In adition to what is listed there, scheduled for a 2010 release date are Composition in Africa and the Diaspora volume 2 and Composition in Africa and the Diaspora volume 3, both edited by Akin Euba and Cynthia Tse Kimberlin. These two volumes will be published for the Centre for Intercultural Musicology at Churchill College, Cambridge University, U.K. by MRI Press. MRI Press is the Music Research Institute’s publishing arm.
MRI is a non-profit educational institution 501(c)(3) which addresses the impact of music on contemporary problems and issues through theoretical, comparative, and applied research. Particular focus is given to research and studies having worldwide implications and cross-cultural applications. Under the imprint of MRI Press, MRI disseminates research results and studies that are used also as educational materials in the classroom. MRI has underwritten publication for the Centre for Intercultural Music Arts (CIMA), Institute of Education, University of London, U.K. and MRI is a founding member organization of the International Consortium of Music of Africa and the Diaspora (ICMAD).
